I have this odd obbsession with Fred Perry. I bought this bag today. It was pretty expensive and now I'm broke but it was so worth it. And the zips are little metal Fred Perry laurels. They are so so so cute.
I'm hitting the Fred Perry in Covent Garden when I'm back in England in December. The one here in Dubai is super small.
I watched Juno the other day, 3rd time or something. Such a good film :) And amazing soundtrack. I love the Moldy Peaches tons + Kimya Dawson.
I took the Polaroid down in my room I'm pretty sure you have a new girlfriend It's not as if I don't like you It just makes me sad whenever I see it Cuz I like to be gone most of the time And you like to be home most of the time If I stay in one place I lose my mind I'm a pretty impossible lady to be with
Joey never met a bike that he didn't wanna ride and I never met a Toby that I didn't like Scotty liked all of the books that I recommended Even if he didn't I wouldn't be offended
I had a dream that I had to drive to Madison to deliver a painting for some silly reason I took a wrong turn and ended up in Michigan Paul Baribeau took me to the giant tire swing gave me a push and he started singing I sang along while I was swinging the sound of our voices made us forget everything that had ever hurt our feelings
Joey never met a bike that he didn't wanna ride and I never met a Toby that I didn't like Scotty liked all of the books that I recommended even if he didn't I wouldn't be offended wouldn't be offended
Now I'm home for less than twenty-four hours That's hardly time to take a shower Hug my family and take your picture off the wall Check my email write a song and make a few phone calls before it's time to leave again I've got one hand on the steering wheel one waving out the window If I'm a spinster for the rest of my life my yarns will keep me warm on cold and lonely nights
Joey never met a bike that he didn't wanna ride and I never met a Tobey that I didn't like Scotty liked all of the books that I recommended even if he didn't I wouldn't be offended
So I start school on Sunday which sort of signifies the end of summer for me. [Although, obviously in Dubai, summer's pretty much all year round.] These songs have pretty much been the soundtrack of my summer and bring back some nice memories. :)

I think pretty much everyone who knows me, knows that I do love The Libertines. Not only do I adore The Libertines, I'm also a huge fan Babyshambles and Dirty Pretty things. I've seen both bands live and went to Peter's solo gig at the Royal Albert Hall which was phenomenal and blew me away. Sadly, I never got to see The Libertines perform. :( Anyway, back to the reason I decided to do this post, my friend sent me a little part of a review about The Libertines' second album, titled [imaginatively] 'The Libertines'. The particular part is describing the front cover of the album which I've forward-thinkingly put at the end of this post.
'Carl looks out with defiant and defeated eyes. It looks like he wants to protect Pete from outsiders, but mostly so that he can punch him in the face himself.'
I think the reason that that particular few sentences stood out, and created such an impact was because it - in a way - sums up The Libertines as a band. The love/hate relationship that Pete and Carl had, how The Libertines were about more than just the music, they were/are also about the concept of being a libertine and how, in the end, the band eventually split up.
I've pretty much reached the conclusion that Alison Mosshart is infact the coolest person in the world. She's in a band called The Kills along with Jamie Hince. They're insanely good and they both wear the best clothes ever.
So cool. So very, very cool. Go listen to Last Day of Magic.
Lovely, lovely music from Adam Ficek [outta Babyshambles]. You should all [virtually] run on over to http://www.roseskingscastles.com and http://www.myspace.com/roseskingscastles and go listen to it until your ears get a bit fuzzy. You can get free CD's if you send a Stamped Addressed Envelope over. Go look on the sites for details. Honestly, what could be better than free cd's? Nothing. Thats what. The single, 'Entroubled' comes out on September the 8th and the Album, 'Roses Kings Castles' comes out on the 22nd of September [4 days before my birthday kids.] Go check it out!
